"PLAY now and PAY later/ PAY now PLAY later"

A week after the Internet Marketing Workshop of Mr. Jomar Hilario, is the date where M.A. become an accredited Sales Associate on a Real Estate Company. There he met his Manager Carl and his girlfriend, which is also a Sales Associate, Anne. At the very moment they met, there's sort of a same grounds that makes them friends easily.

At the accreditation Seminar, the President of the Company does the talking. There he explain how the business works and opens to the attendees the great opportunity their business offers. And at that very moment, M.A. knew that this is the job he is looking for. He knew that if someone wants to have a business, he must know how the business works, so that person must work first on a company that offers the same kind of business that you want in the future, and then study the business and then do the business. Luckily, being a Real Estate Sales Associate, what you do is like doing business itself. Because in Real Estate Company, they offer the product, the Sales Associate help the company in selling the product, and the profit that the Sales Associate will gain is base on his/her performance, and thus, they are doing the business already.

NETWORKING

In business, when you're not netWORKing, you're not WORKing, that's one advice of the President of the Company to all the new Accredited Sales Associate. So after the Seminar, he starts texting to everyone in his contacts about his new business.

While walking home... until he got home... until he finishes all his contact...

he was texting.

After a while, he got some response from his contacts that says, they got it noted, and that makes M.A. so happy.

SUCCESS IS BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME... NOT!!!

T. Harv Eker said that success is not just being in the right place at the right time - you have to be the right PERSON at the right place at the right time.

And that's what exactly happened to M.A. He may be in the right place at the right time when he saw success to his business but he is not the RIGHT person yet. Yes, M.A. has a wealthy mindset and that's crucial to success, but having the right attitude as a salesman/businessman is not equipped yet to M.A at that time. But as I've said a while ago, M.A. has a wealthy mindset and so that keeps him going forward.

IT'S NOT EASY

In 3 months without a closed deal, M.A.'s wealthy mind can take it, because he knows all the things that doesn't kill us, only makes us strong, but as a fresh graduate with no own money yet, M.A.'s parents cannot. It's a funny thing but yes, because of this scenario, M.A. is still asking for his allowance. Thank God his parents are the best parents in the world (for M.A.) so he still can manage to go out and attend the meetings and meet his girlfriend. But in M.A.'s mind, it's not easy for him to still ask for his allowance to his parents, so he made a point that, with his first full commission, he will not ask for money anymore to his parents plus he will give money regularly, every commission, as a part of his gratitude to his parents. But for now, he still needs to work hard.

FINALLY!!!

By this time, 2010 is almost coming to an end. And it became the spark that M.A. is all been waiting for to the success of his career.

A woman texted M.A. and inquire about a house that he is selling. He answered all the questions his Clients asked. He scheduled a tripping. Go to the site and the Client inspects the site. They go home so that the Client can talk to his husband about their chosen house.

... A week after. They go to the office, and officially... CLOSE THE DEAL!!!

And that also ends the year for his company. He closed the Last Deal for the Year on his Company. What a great way to end the year! ;)



LESSON FOR THE DAY - "PLAY now and PAY later or PAY now PLAY later"

Read Proverbs 5
At the end of your life you will groan,

As I'm browsing a blog in the net before I write mine, I came up to this passage in the bible. And the lesson for today is related to this.

In life two things can happen: We can “play now and pay later” or we can “pay now and play later.” What do I mean by this? Let me illustrate: A boy was raised with a golden spoon in his mouth. His father was a seaman who earned a lot of money that gave his dad the capacity to send him to an aeronautical school so he can become a pilot someday. He blew his chance by hanging out with the wrong kind of friends. He was involved in using illegal drugs and theft. Two decades later, this boy is now a man who regretted his past actions and wished that he had done things differently. He played then and he is paying the price now.

Another boy was born into a wealthy family. The family fortune was lost when his father died. Being the eldest child, he became the breadwinner of the family. At an early age, he learned how to sell food and other goods in the streets, competing with men and women who were at least twice his age. In his teenage years, he bought his own bicycle so he can go to nearby towns and barrios to sell soap, thread, candles and other things that people need. He would wake up early so he can start selling early on. By the time the sun sets, he would be on his way home to bring food and money back to his family. This boy is John Gokongwei who is now one of the richest men in Asia.

AN INSPIRATION

This inspires me a lot. And I think this is how M.A. is motivated to his SUCCESS. He chose to Pay now which is accepting all the not so good things that his parents told to him, because of not having a normal job. Doing his job all day long rather than partying with friends (Because at that time, when he is still looking for his first client, it was Christmas season, party here and party there. But he chose to PAY now, of not being able to go to the parties that he was invited to so that he can focus on having a first closed deal, and to PLAY later, where he can be financially free because of his hard work and have more time to his future family.

So I advice you guys to do the same. To do what sir John Gokongwei has done, than to regret life, because of wrong doings you might be doing now, for the rest of your life.

Take ACTION

After the Seminar with Mr. Bo Sanchez, M.A. was really pumped up. He want to take powerful actions quickly. And one action that he does quickly was, to have a goal. Not just a goal in the mind, but written goal.

Outside the main venue of Bo Sanchez Seminar, his books are available to the attendees. All of his best selling books was there for sale. M.A. even wanted to buy one but he didn't know that those books will be available so he didn't bring extra money. But luckily, there was a tiny little book, it's Bo Sanchez's Novena to God's Love. That book only cost P20 and M.A. doesn't waste anymore time and grab 3 books. 1 for his mom, 1 for Jean (his Girlfriend), and one for himself.

Novena to God's Love is a book where you can write your 7 dreams and pray for it everyday with the Novena. It was one of his first powerful action that he does for his success. To write his own Dreams and Goals.

INTERNET MARKETING WORKSHOP

In Bo Sanchez's Seminar, he promotes two other seminars that will be beneficial for the attendees for their financial Success. One is the Coaching Program where Bo Sanchez's and his team of Mentors will be speaking and teaching people on how to invest their money on different kinds of vehicle. The other one is Internet Marketing Workshop that will be led by Mr. Jomar Hilario, the best Internet marketing guru here in the Philippines. Know more about Jomar Hilario here

By that time, M.A. really wanted to attend another seminar because he was really pumped up by Bo's Seminar. But he cannot go on both because of his limited funds, so he must choose between the two. And he chose to attend Internet Marketing workshop because he thought it will be a great help for him because he wanted to work from home and he has no money to invest in yet for a Coaching Program.

Jomar Hilario's Internet Marketing workshop is a 2 day workshop where he will teach how to earn money from home by doing Internet Marketing. It was a great experience for M.A. to attend another wonderful Seminar. This is his 2nd Seminar that he attended with no companion or just by himself where he didn't know anyone in the seminar. The 1st was Mr Bo Sanchez's How to Become Truly Rich Seminar.

On his 1st Day, M.A. learned on how to establish a blog and how he can earn money with his blog.

On the 2nd Day, M.A. learned how to sell a product in the internet using blogs. And on the 2nd day, a great opportunity appeared for M.A.

OPPORTUNITIES ARE EVERYWHERE

Yes, opportunities are everywhere and for M.A. It was the workshop that he attended, the Internet Marketing Workshop.

Why?.. Here's why, because at end of the workshop, Mr. Jomar Hilario treats his attendees to a dinner in a Singaporean Restaurant. And in that dinner, the attendees get the chance to have a bonding time and get to know each one of them.

One of the attendees that M.A. talked to was Ms. Cla. They talked about what they are doing at the moment, what they do for a living etc. etc. M.A. talks about his interest and so Ms. Cla. Then a magic just has began. A door of opportunity has been opened.

M.A.'s interest was Real Estate. And Ms. Cla's business is Real Estate. And that's started M.A's Career in Real Estate.

LESSON FOR THE DAY - Take ACTION

Here's a simple lesson that I will give to you for today, a simple reason that will affect your success.

There are a lot of information out there specially in today's fast pace world. We can see almost all the information in the internet and we can learn from it anytime, anywhere as long as we have a computer/laptop and an internet. But all the lessons that we have and gain through those information is nothing and put into waste because of not doing anything with the lessons we learned.

A Chinese proverbs once says. "Tell me, and I'll forget. Show me, and I'll remember. Involve me, and I'll understand"

My own version. When we are thought, we tend forget. When we see, we remember. But when we act, we became one step closer to our SUCCESS.

Every Ending has a New Beginning

It's New Year today. Yesterday marks the end of a great year of 2010. It’s been more than a week since my first post and I decided to start the year with this New Year's Blog, the continuation of M.A.'s JOURNEY to SUCCESS. So let’s start :)

2010, A TURN AROUND YEAR

A couple of years ago, M.A. were so excited about 2010. There's something in him that says "YES! It’ll be a great year for me!" He even talked about his excitement a lot with his close friends. He always says that in 2010, many great things will happen for him. And the year had passed... And YES! It’s been a great year for him.

WHY?... Here are the 3 reasons why

1) M.A. graduated from college. After many years of formal education in schools, it finally came to an end. And for him, it's very fulfilling to finish his education.

2) M.A. found the love of his life. Yes after 20 years of his life and years of searching for someone who can share his life with, he finally found someone, a beautiful, sexy, loving, caring, understanding, strong, positive, and happy woman who is willing to share her life with M.A. for the rest of their lives. (You can know more about her and their relationship in my future blogs)

3) M.A. starts his journey to success. Because of Bo Sanchez's book (know more about Mr. Bo Sanchez here ) "How to Conquer Your Goliaths" which is introduce by one of M.A.'s bestfriend, Vinz. It triggers M.A.'s curiosity to find success. It marks the start of M.A.'s journey to success. It startle M.A.'s mind to look for freedom, Financial Freedom.

EVERY END HAS A NEW BEGINNING - part 1

2010 is the year where M.A.'s formal education ended, and the beginning of his life in the real world.

M.A. graduated in UST college of Fine Arts and Design major in Advertising. And after graduation, M.A. is so excited to find his first job. A week after graduation, he starts applying online as a Graphic Artist or an Art Director. Again, weeks passed by and he starts roaming around the metro and pass his wonderful resume (I say wonderful because when I saw his resume, it was really beautiful and very well presented... of course I am Bias! hahahaha) to Advertising Agency and other Companies who is looking for his help.

And finally after a month, he found his first job, an apprentice of an Art Director of a Design Company. At first, he was so happy to have a job and he is so willing to work hard even if he will only get allowance for a first couple of months, an allowance (275 pesos) which is a little bit higher when he is still schooling (which is 250 pesos). Not really bad for an excited person to work like M.A. hahaha. But as the time goes by, he didn't felt happy anymore, he felt like he is only working so he can get allowance, able to buy food and pay for his fares to go to the office, and a little bit of extra to date his girlfriend once a week and work again to get his allowance and so on and so forth. Plus he felt he is being used by his boss who gave him a lot of job order, even the job given to my boss by his client, do it overtime, and still there's no positive growth. I don't know if M.A. is just too impatient. But he's just not happy anymore with his job. And 2 months later, he finally decided. After 2 months of being an apprentice, he decided to quit his job. Luckily, he's just an apprentice and has no contract to stay for a limited time, so he quit his job easily.

EVERY END HAS A NEW BEGINNING - part 2-A

In part 1, I mention that M.A. ends his formal education and start a life in the real world by having a job and start living his own life sort of independently. But it is short lived.

But as the subtitle says, "Every end has a new beginning," meaning after putting an end on his job, there's a new beginning waiting on his life. And for M.A., that was a better beginning.

I mentioned above that there are 3 reasons why it is a great year for M.A. and 2010 is his turn around year. A huge part of it is because f the reason number 3, the start of his Journey to Success. I also mentioned that there's one book that triggers his curiosity and startle his mind to gain freedom and success. It led me to my first mentor (consciously, because my real first mentors are my parents, but I'm not conscious to that) and it is Mr. Bo Sanchez.

M.A. is not really a book reader. When a book or the book's movie version is being talked about, no doubt he will choose the movie version. And for the record, the first book he read since child that he finished reading by himself, not by his mom, was "The Little Prince". You want to know why? For the readers out there who know or have read the book "The Little Prince" probably knows the answer now ;) But for the few people who doesn't know, it is because the book was so entertaining and easy to read, with lots of drawings, and finally, the book was THIN! Yes, the book can be read in an hour or less. And that's why he is happy so finishing reading the book. And the only book that he read that was slightly thick (compared to Harry Potter books) was Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki , of course because that book is such a great and practical book. You just can't stop whenever you start reading it. But still that doesn't make M.A. a book reader. Until a Vinz(one of M.A.'s bestfriend) told him about Bo Sanchez's book, that marks the start of his continuous learning to freedom.

The "How to Conquer your Goliaths" start's M.A.'s Journey to Success. Bo Sanchez style of writing was simple plus a touch of his humor. His books match M.A's standard. Books that are entertaining and easy to read and most definitely, THIN! :D

And M.A. became really interested about attending it. The seminar was cheap and it makes me become more excited! And so M.A. purchases a seat and is able to attend his FIRST seminar.

Secret 1: Be Responsible For Your Financial Success - You are where you are because you put yourself there. You are maybe in debt now because you fell in love with your credit card and use it inappropriately. You buy things even if you don't have the money, and you don't worry because there is a credit card who can handle the payment. Be Responsible. Remember, what you are doing in the present mould your future. If you want to be Successful in the future, Take 100% responsibility of your life today.

Secret 2: Enlarge Your Psychological Wallet - Increase your money comfort zone. Unless you see it in your mind, it won't happen in reality. Did you know why lotto winners are one day a multi-millionaire and after 5 years, a multi-millionaire no more? They even go back to their kind of financial life before they win the lottery. It is because their mind cannot handle the Millions of pesos in their bank account. And because of that, they tend to spend all the money they acquire until they get back to where they are comfortable with. So if you want to be a millionaire and financially free (meaning can live your current lifestyle even without working), Have a millionaire's mindset.

Secret 3: Get Rid of Crazy Religious Beliefs - Are you one of those who believes that "money is the root of all evil"? Of course if money is evil, why do we want to get that?... WRONG!!! Let me rephrase that. In reality, "the lack of money is the root of all evil." If I ask you, why do some bad guys steal money or things? Why do holdaper do their thing? Why do snatchers are very greedy to have your cellphone? Why? It is because they have lack of money. So get rid of that belief.

Another wrong belief is "it all right to be poor if God wants me to be poor." WRONG!!! Our God is a loving God. He gives us abundance in all aspects of our life. God only wants us all to live in abundance. And he gave us the free will to get all the abundance in the world. And that bring us back to Secret 1

Now I will share to you a true millionaire’s prayer. Pray it daily and see the difference in your life. I do it personally and I see positive changes in my life

THE TRUE MILLIONAIRE'S PRAYER

"Lord, today, I ask you to bless me so that I may become a blessing.

Write this down or copy and paste it to your computer. And beneath this, write down your financial goal, like P250,000 monthly income in 2013. Then sign it and put the date today. Now start your own Journey to Success!!!

Secret 4 Be Totally Committed to Your Dreams - Be the scriptwriter of your life. If you have dreams, wrote it in your journal or any paper so that you can read and pray for it daily. And when an opportunity comes, don't hesitate, grab it! There is no perfect time. There is only a limited time. If you don't want to regret something in your life, live your life to the fullest.

Secret 5 Raise Your Financial I.Q. - Even a PhD can be financial ignorant and may retire broke. Anyone can be financial ignorant but you have the choice not to be one. My advice, Read books that enhances financial literacy like Rich Dad Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki, Choose to be Wealthy by Bo Sanchez, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Success Principle by Jack Canfield and many more. Also try audiobooks specially for men. Did you know that Men learns more effectively through listening than reading. So for men, I advice you to listen audiobooks. Search it in the net. There are vast of information you'll get on books and audiobooks. Read and listen. And lastly, I advice you to attend seminars that will raise your financial I.Q.

Secret 6 Ride Something to Wealth - What I mean by vehicle here is your way to generate income or money. Its like riding a bicycle (mutual funds and bonds) or riding a car (a side line or business based on your core skills like if you are a painter, sell your paintings or if you are a great cook, put up a small restaurant) or ride an airplane (Stocks or Real Estate investment, Multi-level Marketing or any businesses that has exponential income)

Secret 7 Have a Bias for Action - Don't be the one that who knows everything but doesn't do anything. Knowledge without action is useless. Make things happen. Don't be afraid to fail, just do it! Cause failing leads to learning, and while you learn, you grow. Most successful people failed a lot. Fail forward. Fail your way to Success

Secret 8 Be a Success in All Areas - Being rich in money is not truly rich. If you want to be Truly Rich, be successful in important aspects of your life.

Here are 7 areas of your life that you need to be aware with and must do something to become successful in every areas.

1) Spiritual Life - Having guidance from our Creator can help us big time.
2) Family Life - Everything we've been working hard for is for, no other
than, our family, so love them and take care of them.
3) Career Life - Choose a career that is related to your core gifts.
4) Financial Life - Take responsibility in your finances.
5) Physical Life - Enjoy the money you acquire to the fullest with great
health.
6) Emotional Life - Feel good, be positive and be grateful. That will attract
more wealth.
7) Intellectual Life - Be financial literate.

My advice to you is have a goal in each area of your life, write it down, and live a life with purpose.

This may be the end of 2010, but the start of a new year, 2011. Let's start it with full of love and prosperity. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
